SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2008 R2 Upgrade Step by Step

Today I am going to show you how to upgrade SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2008 R2. Download SQL Server 2008-R2 from below location,
Download SQL Server 2008 R2
SQL Server 2008-R2 supports upgrade scenario as shown below, so lets go started. First lauch the sql 2008 R2 setup,

 Setup will install SQL Server Support Files
 Enter your SQL 2008 License key,
 Accept license agreement & click next
 Click on install to install SQL supported files,
 Click Next to continue
 Select your SQL Server instance to upgrade,

 Click Next


 Click on upgrade to start the SQL server upgrade,
Now SQL server upgrade has been finished just restart SQL server to apply the changes,


Now Check your upgraded SQL Server version, Just go to the SQL Server 2008 R2 properties to check the SQL Server version,
