Installing Windows 8 Developer Preview on VMware Workstation 8
Today I am going to show how to install Windows 8 on Parallels Desktop 4 for Windows & Linux.
1. Download Parallels Desktop 4
2. Install Parallels Desktop 4 on your machine, In my case its windows 7.
3. Open Parallels Desktop 4 & at welcome screen click on "Create a New Vritual Machine" tab.
Click on Next to Continue,
In Operating System type select Windows & in Version Select Windows 7 as shown below,
Select Virtual Machine type as "Custom"
In my case I am using 2 CPUs & 2GB RAM for my Windows 8 Virtual Machine,
Select "New Image file" & click next.
Select "Expanding Disk" option & click next to continue,
In my case I am using "Bridge Networking"
Select Default Adapter & continue,
In optimization options select "Virtual Machine" & click Next,
Assign Name to your VM & click Create.
Give path to your Windows 8 ISO image & Click on Start to start the VM.
Click Next to Start Installation.
Click on Install Now
