VMware vSphere Licensing Advisor Install Guide
VMware vSphere Licensing Advisor 1.0 allows users with vSphere 4.1, vSphere 4.0 and Virtual Infrastructure 3.5 environments to calculate and understand their vRAM usage and vRAM capacity as if they upgraded to vSphere 5.0. To use this tool simply enter the host name,username & password of the VMware vCenter Server you wish to gather information on. If you have additional vCenter Server you can add additional VMware vCenter Servers using the Add vCenter Server tab on main menu.
vRAM capacity will be calculated based on the number of licenses loadded into the vCenter Server to which you connected. Make sure that all your VMware vSphere/ESXI licenses are added into the VMware vCenter Server to get better insight into the vRAM capacity you will have if you upgrade to VMware ESXi 5.

vSphere Licensing Advisor installation is simple & straight forward. Download & Launch vSphere Licensing Advisor setup
Accept license agreement & continue
Select destination & click next,
Tick launch vSphere Licensing Advisor & finish the setup.
Enter your Vmware vCenter Server details,
vRAM capacity will be calculated based on the number of licenses loadded into the vCenter Server to which you connected. Make sure that all your VMware vSphere/ESXI licenses are added into the VMware vCenter Server to get better insight into the vRAM capacity you will have if you upgrade to VMware ESXi 5.
