Most of you already know that an Windows 8 Developer Preview is available for download. You will find the download links on Windows 8 Download Links Today I have download Windows 8 developer edition & tried to install Windows 8 on VMware Workstation 7.1, but it fails with below error,
"vcpu-0:NOT_IMPLEMENTED vmcore/vmm/intr/apic.c"
Solution to above error is to download & Install Virtual Box 4.1 on your machine & deploy Windows 8 Developer Preview Virtual Machine on top of it. [Guide] Install Windows 8 Developer Preview on VirtualBox 4.1
Windows 8 System Requirements,
1 Gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 Gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver
